Beloved is a word you often see in the cemetery, love outlasts death. These panels are from St Stephen’s in Newtown, Australia. They’re made of iron, quite rare.
You raise a good point which we may never consciously think about, and that is this: our beloved ones all come together in the same resting place. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

Very sobering to see the dates between grandparents, parents and children… not long!

I’ve never seen grave markers quite like those, very interesting.

There’s a few iron grave markers, all from around 1850. Sydney had churches made out of iron, shipped out from England.

Amor vincit Omnia … the departed live on in our hearts, as they did when alive but away from us. Life and death are one.
