I found the right photo for theme ascend. This is Bath Abbey in the UK. You can see ladders of angels, climbing up to heaven.

I wonder why their wings didn’t work. 🙂 I wonder if there is a biblical reference to climbing angels?

I gather a 16th century bishop had a vision. Maybe people gain their wings as they ascend. Gothic churches are full of odd things we dont fully understand… it’s a visual language for a pre-literate congregation.
