The Weekly Challenge2: A Physical Refraction

The Challenge This Week?

For this photo challenge, show us what “refraction” means to you.

This is a physical refraction, a wonderfully carved tombstone for Dr Guy Pitchal, a French Psychotherapist.

I was just looking at a file of photos from the Montmartre cemetery when the Weekly Challenge popped in. This photo was on my tablet at the time. Only later did I realise that it was a brilliant manipulation of light.  The Doctor’s face is reverse carved into the solid block of marble. Can’t take any credit away from the artist. I just took the picture.

  1. I guess “ceci nest pas une pipe” is an apt visual sign for a psychotherapist… love your pic!
