Something of the kind! It was dropping massive branches on people so it had to come down. A sadly missed tree.

Getting confused! The tree was in Grantham crescent round the corner. Ie between the club and the path to the beach.

It’s an Australian ‘scribbly gum’ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eucalyptus_haemastoma I love the strange and mysterious writing on them.
