The Ambitious Drifter

Words, Images and The Occasional Noise

Character From Art

Tell us about a favorite character from film, theater, or literature, with whom you’d like to have a heart-to-heart. What would you talk about?Photographers, artists, poets: show us a CHARACTER.

I cant think of any literary characters I’d like to meet, apart from Nancy and Peggy  the pirates in ‘Swallows And Amazons’.  Since I’m no longer 12 years old, I’d be locked out of their magical world. Chatting with James Bond might prove fatal and I’d just be another  muggle to Harry Potter.

There are many real historical characters i’d like to meet.  I’ve just been in Menton, France where I visited the Jean Cocteau museum.  I’d have loved to hang out with Jean and his mate Pablo (Picasso) learning to see like they did.  It’s hard to photograph visions, but their art has given us a clue.   I’d probably be just another muggle, but maybe I could blag a souvenir sketch or two.
