I have taken many photos from the bridge in Figeac, France. It’s a lovely view. However, one day I decided to go down some small steps to the water’s edge. I wanted to add to my collection of photographs of running water. Looking back however, I got this great shot of some pilgrims. They’re on the pilgrimage of Santiago de Compostella, which passes through the town. The monochrome setting only helped to give the photo a more medieval sense.
The moral? When taking photos be sure to look up, look behind you and try to see beyond your usual frame.

Great image. My sister-in-law and husband walked “The Way” earlier this year.
